- A man called Henry Burke churned several times, but couldn't get any butter. He sent his daughter to the priest to ask him to do something for them. The priest told her to take a bottle of milk out of the churn and to bring it to him the next morning. He told her to meet him at the Vestry door, after he had said Mass. The girl did what she was told and when she gave the milk to the priest, he held it between himself and the sun and said some prayers. He told the girl to go home and get one of her brothers to throw the milk down the cow's neck. They did this and when they churned the next day, they had lots of butter on the milk and they had plenty of butter ever after.
