    Many attempts have been made to get the gold but no one ever succeeded in doing so and the seekers nearly always got a bad fright.
    The last man named who went to the cave disappeared during the night and was never seen or heard of again.
    The place near the cave is haunted and the galloping of horses and the crackling of whips have often been heard.
