this stone from Croghan Hill to Carbury Castle. The stone fell on the side of Carrick Hill and remains there until this day.
The following is a poem composed by and old Edenderry man whose relations are buried in the graveyard on Carrick Hill and where he hopes to rest when the Lord calls to him. The composer refused to give me permission to use his name
    1
O leave me to rest in Carrick's breast
On the sunny side of the hill,
Where saints and sages loved to go
    Their pious work to fill
    2
    And down below by Tub-na-cró,
Where the monks, they loved to roam,
and sing the praise of Him on high,
    Who rules the Eternal Throne.
