  2. There is at least one fairy fort in every district in Ireland. There is one fairy fort in my native parish and it is on Thomas Mooney's land. It is situated in the townland of Lynally and it can be seen from the road. There is a mound of clay all round it. St. Colman's Abbey is situated about four hundred yards west of the fort. In
