    with emphatis replied that he was no murderer. Homes thereupon informed him that he would give him a chance to leave the country but that he would hang the other two whose voiced he heard in Burke's house. (Feeney and Daly). Conway said as he had commited no crime he would stand by his comrades. The three men were then arrested and conveyed to Philipstown jail. Feeney managed to escape but was given away by an informer and recaptured. So at the corner of Ballycumber a few yards from where the Garda Barracks now stands Conway, Feeney and Daly were hanged in June 1798. Conway lies buried in the Catholic part of the cemetery at Liss about half a mile from Ballycumber. Feeney and Daly lies buried in Kilmonaghan about five miles from Ballycumber. The
