There was a family living in Rathvilly some years ago, and some of the descendents are here still, whose blood was said to be an infallible remedy for Anthony's Fire. In order to get the blood a finger was tied tightly with a tape until the blood was forced to the top, which was then pricked with a needly, and blood applied to skin eruption.
