    salad. Owing to how hard people had to work in olden times, they had to get up very early in the morning and had to work for two or three hours before they had anything to eat, and generally they had only two meals a day, sometimes they would not eat anything until their midday meal.
    In the olden times people liked to have their kitchens plain, having nothing in them, but the bear necessaties of life, and for this reason they hung the table on the wall, if they had a table in the kitchen.
