  2. My Townland

    Druminbawn is the name of my townland. Druminbawn means "the little white hill." There is a fairly large bog in it, and two "fairy-forts." In one of these forts there is a cave, which is supposed to have no bottom. There are ten "lone" bushes in the townland. There is the ruins of an old school on the edge of the boundary stream in this townland, which was there in the early part of the eighteenth century.
    It is nine Irish miles South
