- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)As I did stray wrapt in meditation
The dove & partridge round me did chime
And all the birds in the royal forest
Each one had turned to rest inclinedIt is in the midst of a smooth going water
A lonely vineyard is erected there
Where there is a refuge for duck & pheasant
And other offerings of the frigid airThis worthy nobleman who decorates it
His noble worth adds to its fame
He is Colonel Saunderson of birth & grandeur
And his ancestors possess the sameMay he survive to the age of Noah
Who reigned in splendour after the flood
To rule in splendour in pomp & grandeur
All in his station in Ravenswood.
