Co. Cavan. - Long ago when my father was young he made toys. He made balls from worsted and a cork. He got a cork and plaited the worsted around the cork. The cork was supposed to be a hopper in the ball. A piece of goats skin was used for covering the ball and this was used for playing handball on a Sunday.
