The domestic animals of the farm are the cows, the horse, the sheep hens and geese. In the Winter time the cows are put into the byre and tied to stakes. A chain is fastened into the stall and it is brought round the cows neck and hooked. On Palm Sunday pieces of blessed palm are put in the byre to bring good luck on the stock. Some people when they are finished milking they cow they say. "God bless you". When the people are calling the cows they say "pruggy pruggy" and when they are calling the calves to their drink they say "suck suck". Some people put names on their cows such as "Polly". II
In the Winter time the horse is put into a stable and given fodder. The horse is tied to the manger by a head collar. His fodder which is generally hay is put into the manger.
