- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)to draw out the corrupt matter. A lot of medicines are taken from herbs.
There came a doctor to this district known as a herb doctor. He distributed a lot of his herb medicine to people who suffered from pains, and they got a wonderful relief.
There is a herb which grows (known) in this district known as Saint Patrick's leaf. This leaf is a certain and immediate cure for a boil. The leaf has only to be laid on top of the boil in place of a poultice and it draws out the corrupt matter. Those who understand herbs and know how to use them can be cured of many diseases.- Bailitheoir
