    St Stephen's Day is on the 26th of December and is also called Boxing Day. It is a day of great amusement in this part of the country.
    Grown up boys and young lads from fourteen gather together and go in procession from house to house singing the Wren song.
    There are two versions of this song.
    Version I
    The Wren, the Wren,
    The king of all birds,
    On St Stephen's Day,
    was caught in the fur,
    Supposing she's small,
    Her family is great,
    Rise up landlady,
    And give us a treat.
    Version II
    The Wren, the Wren,
    The king of all birds,
    On St Stephen's Day,
    was caught in the fur,
    Up with the kettle,
    And down with the pan,
    And give us the money,
    And will bury the Wren.
    The "Wren Men" as they are called implore the
