Ar an leathanach seo

  1. About fifty years ago there lived in Cornagall a man named John OReilly. This man was very brave, and he always said that he did not believe in fairies or ghosts. At that time the people used to say that no person could go through the fort after sun set without going astray. Many people spent whole nights wandering about in it but could not get out of it.
    One night this man had to pass through the fort. He said to himself, before he came near it, that he would know if there were fairies in it, but he also said he did not believe they were there or in any other place. He walked on briskly, and whistling a merry tune. When he came in view of the Fort he stopped short, for to his dismay he saw a bright light shining in it. He stood in wonder, but to his amazement he could hear sweet music and singing. Now and then the music ceased and loud laughter rang out.
    John did not know what to do, but at last he decided to go a little nearer to see if he could see anything. Then, suddenly, as if by magic the singing and music ceased and the light disappeared. John stood still again; he felt frightened as he never did before. Was he to be scared like that? he asked himself.
