“In the summer of the year of 1893 a crowd of people left Kerry for a day to Kilkee.”
In the summer of the year of 1893 a crowd of people left Kerry for a day to Kilkee. They crossed to Moyne quay and then they went to Kilkee. It was a beautiful day and when they left Moyne it was quite calm at sea. But that night they were all drowned except one boy who was late for the boat when they were leaving Moyne. After a few days when all the bodies were got it was noticed that all their (left) shoes were gone. This was the most mysterious tragedy ever here. The sea was quite calm and nobody heard screams when the accident occurred.- Collector
