    district rounf Lake Sheelin. They lived in a house called Arley Cottage which was near the Castle In 1922 it was sold and was bought by somebody in Dublin. The place is locked up now and the land poisoned The castle is a square, 40 ft high and surrounded with flags. Today the ruins are covered with ivy.
    There's a story told of it that the English troops bribed one of the servants to put a light in a certain position at a certain tie as a signal. She delayed beside the light and got shot, by them she had befriended.
