The place is locked up now and the land poisoned The castle is a square, 40 ft high and surrounded with flags. Today the ruins are covered with ivy.
There's a story told of it that the English troops bribed one of the servants to put a light in a certain position at a certain tie as a signal. She delayed beside the light and got shot, by them she had befriended.
