    were out in the time of the Fenians. One day a man in Latoon found a wooden urn in a bog. Stan Lynch brought Sean O Reardoin over to Latoon but the man had burned the urn.

  2. Holy Wells
    There are not many holy wells about Ballyjamesduff.
    There is a holy well in Lavery Saint Dympna's, a pilgrimage goes there every year. The well is only the size of a horses foot because when St. Dympna was fleeing on a horse from her father because he was going to kill her, the horse's foot stuck in the ground and water sprang up.
    There is a holy well outside Kells St Kieran's Well. There is a pilgrimage to it every year. There are two fish in it and it is said if anyone suffering was there before sunrise the first Sunday in August they would be cured.
    In Oldcastle there is a mountain called Sliab na Cailin, on the side of this mountain there is a cave. Inside the cave
