Ar an leathanach seo

  1. The local tradition is that the well was originally situated in the townland of Kilkerrin about a quarter of a mile to the east of the ruins of St Kierans Church. The site of the well was supposed to be where site of St Kieran's alter is marked.
    The water of the well was supposed to be used for washing potatoes, clothes etc bu the owner of the land. The well disappeared and sprang up in the adjoining townland of Mount Shannon about a mile from the original site. The present owner of the land where the well was first says that his grandfather did not remember the well to be in Kilkerrin
