- (continued from previous page)would go on fire after drying it. It had to be rooled through a machine and made in little pieces for the scutcher. There was a flax kiln at our house long ago. It belonged to my grandfather.
- There is a lone tree in our field at Bernard Tierneys. A lot of people they got cured was - they went to a blacksmith an asked him for a horsemail for God's sake. The blacksmith would give it to them. They would go to the tree and drive the nail in the tree. They would never have the tookache again. The tree is still to be seen in the field yet.
