  1. Castlehaven has forded the Shannon
With the Soldiers of brave Owen Roe
And hurriedly marching to meet him
Press forward the troops of Monroe
With Scots from the Clyde & Lough Lomand
And Puritan Spears from the Tweed
O'er the hills of Stradone & Benvara
And the meadows of Arva they speed.
Fierce tyrants and raiders full many
Are ranged 'neath the flag of the Scot
And their pathway is marked by the burning
Of rafter and castle and cot
They reign not their steeds till before them
Fair Granard loomed up on the way
And with bright shining banner & bayonets
They halt at the bridge of Finea.
'Twas a grand sight to see them all marching
And gallant and fair to behold
Their spears in the bright sunlight shining
And the red flag of Britain unrolled
And braver ne'er harnessed for battle
Or msutered for foray or fray
Than the troop that the Scottish chief rallied
That day at the Bridge of Finea.
