A man with out eyes saw plums on a tree
He never ate plums nor took plums and how could that be.
A man with one eye saw 2 plums, took one & left one.

went down the hill to bathe
    Adam and Eve were drowned

The boys used to play, a game long ago, which I never see now called "Sow (leac) by the long ear."
Boys were in a row. The first put his hand on his eyes and some one (undmoron) struck him.
He left the line to look for the culprit and caught him by the lug of the ear. If he were right there was no shout but if he caught the wrong one all shouted.
I remember my father - a teacher - objecting to this fearing to my ??? ear, by the tough slap or the pulling afterwards.
