In East Clare there are many families of the name.The tradition about them were Buglers in army).This is how they used to be called years ago Búglers -Now Bug'lers.They are most thrifty hard working and nearly always well off people.They keep a good tight hold of money and know and know its value .Because of that people say of others ,"They are as tight as the Buglers,when twelve of them were round a goose"
