    Fionn's opponent took up a huge stone and thre it; but it fell short and dropped down in Carrigerry.
    Fionn took up one twice as large and hurled it towards the island. The second stone dropped right down on the first one, and both may be seen now in the field near Carrigerry cross. (Photo - 96).
    Fionn's rival would not admst that he was beaten; so Finn took up a huge bull and threw him out over Coney Island, where he fell into the Shannon at a place called poll a'Tairbh
