- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)A fort in Cloonskill.In the village of Cloonskill there is a fort. It is on a height and has a sod fence all around it. Inside this fence the ground is hollowed and the whole thing looks like a basin. In the middle of this there is a hole and this descends downward into the earth. -there are steps down this passage. No one got to the end of it. There are supposed to be rooms each side of it. From the noise made on the ground overhead one would know that the underneath is hollowed out. In one corner of the fort there is a basin scooped out of solid rock. Some say this fort was made in the time of the Danes.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
