- Hurley and handball were played by the boys long ago in this village on Sunday evenings.
There were six or seven men in the hurley team. A stick with a cámóg was used for a hurley. It was about 34 inches long.
The ball was a ball of woollen thread covered outside with sheep's skin.
They used play in the fields, among themselves. Sometimes the hurley team from Dúrlior used come up to this village playing the hurley team from this place. Each team was from(continues on next page)- Collector
