    midnight he saw his own dead cow come in a gap and she started eating the oats. She stayed there until near dawn.
    The man went home, and he stayed up that night too. The same thing happened that night as the night before.
    On the third night the man watched the cow again. When it was time for her to go, the man hid at the gap. When she was going out the gap the man caught hold of her tail and the cow went away with the man holding her tail.
    They came at last to a lovely house. A friend of the man's was standing in the door. He told the man to take his cow, calf
