Ar an leathanach seo
- Long ago there was an animal in Ballyheigue to the east side of the parish; he had a shape like a serpent. He did a lot of harm to the farmer. He used to hole down through the ground, and when the cows would be eating he would leap into their mouths and then they would die. He was about six feet long, he used to jump across the fences, he had no legs. There were several attempts made to capture him, but they did not succeed. He then disappeared, and that's the last was heard of him.
