    To the north west of Ballyheigue there is a blessed well called Glendahillon well, and there is an old story told about it. It is said that there was a convent there long ago, and there were nuns in it. A ship came in to the harbour there, and it was full of robbers. They said that they would kill the nuns, but the Reverend mother prayed to God to help her.
    The robbers then came to the convent to kill them, but they were struck blind. Then they said if
