There was a bailiff in Logboy who used to evict his tenants. One night he was visiting in a neighbour's house, and, as he was coming home at about two o'clock he was shot down by some of his tenants who watched him.
There was a landlord named Prendergast in Caraun who watched his tenants carefully. One of his tenants sowed potatoes, and, when they came up there was a fine crop in it. One day as he was digging them the landlord came along, and when he saw the fine crop he raised his rent two pounds.
