- On Palm Sunday blessed palm is given to the people at the Church. They bring it home and keep it in the house until the next Palm Sunday. Then it is burned and a new piece put in its place. On St. Patricks's Day shamrock is worn in honour of our Patron Saint, and it is then kept in the house beside a blessed picture until it withers. Then it is burned or thrown(continues on next page)
