    Anybody who had the whooping
    cough was made walk under an
    ass, then the animal was given
    bread to eat and the crumbs
    which fell from its mouth
    was given to person to eat.
    A
    remedy for ringworm was soot
    from the chimney, sulphur
    and butter mixed together
    and rubbed on the affected
    place. Anyone who had
    measles boiled nettle-roots
    and drank the juice of
    them. That was also looked
    upon as a measles cure from
    all rashes throughout the
    year if it were drank in
    the month of March.
    If a dog
    bites bit a person he who is
    was bitten secured a rib from
    the dog then the sore
    healed. a person who had
    warts, rubbed castor oil
