  1. Cloonmore is the name of a townland situated in the parish of Carracaastle and in the County of Mayo.
    Long ago Land Lords lived in Cloonmore and their names were Phillips. These Land Lords were very cruel to the people because if the people did not pay them their yearly rent which was sometimes very heavy the landlords used to lash them, or evict them and give their homes to other people who used to be boycotted and nobody would buy or sell a pig or cow to or from them. These Land - Lords lived in a big house which was built for them by the government. Some of these Land - Lords were worse than others Once some of them sought to kill a priest while the others were about to save him. They used to quarter their
