BRAON BRÓCHIn making poteen the first of the spirit that comes through the 'worm' is called braon bróch. A small portion of it is put in a vessel and left in open air usually under bush for the 'good people' as an offering in hopes of a good return from the 'run' of spirit.
Gabhlóg: a stick of timber about 4 ft. long - forked at one end used to support shaft of cart, when greasing axle.
