    Once upon a time there lived a man who made noggins

    (continued from previous page)
    Castlebar market to sell the noggins for to earn a few shillings to support himself and his children. The man asked him to go with himself for that night. The other man answered and said he could not that he would be late for the market. In the end he consented and he had to tie his donkey inside the fence and go with the man to the North. When he reached the North every man shook hands with him and asked him how where all the people in Tavanaghmore.They said that if they not win that night it would be God help him.
    They played away and the North beat the South. When they had finished playing they all shook hands, and the man said it was some time he had left the other man at home. He left him back
