“Once upon a time there lived two women. They were neighbours.”
(continued from previous page)When the priest came he anointed her, and he asked her did she tell anybody about the murder, and she said she only told the woman of the house. The priest told her that when she would die to come back and tell him whither she was happy or not. One night as the priest and his clerk were in the house, he sent his clerk out to see would he see anything in the garden. When he came in he told the priest that he saw something like a bird lying on the straw abroad in the garden. The priest went out to the straw and who did he see but the old woman. He asked her was there anything troubling her, and she said no, that she was happy with God in Heaven. Just then the bird disappeared in the air, and the priest did not see her any more.- Collector
