    There was once a man from the parish of Backs who went to the fair in Castlebar.

    (continued from previous page)
    and blackened the white mans face. When the backs man was called in the morning he got up in a hurry and went out to the fair. As he was going along the streets he happened to see his reflection. "Well" said he "I wonder why did she call the wrong man" and with that he returned to the lodging house, and went to bed again. thinking that the wrong man had been called.
