    The name of my townland is Rathbane. It is in the parish of Crossmolina, Co Mayo. There is a field in my father's land called Loch Dubh. It means the black lake. There is a lake in it and that is why it got that name. Páirc na rátha is the name of a field. It belongs to John Caden, Carrowkeel, Crossmolina. The field that is called Páirc na rátha is in Ballinlobaun. It means the field of the fort. There is a fort in the field and that is why it is called that name.
    Currach is the name of a field. It belongs to John Lynn, Rathbane, Crossmolina. It means a marsh.
    Páircín Bán is the name of a field. It means the white field. It was called
