  1. Local Roads
    Long ago people used to make the roads out of trees and sticks. They they got more advanced and made them out of stone. Then they built the stones up as a wall. The people made cement then and plastered the stones with it. Then they put small stones again and they put sand over that again. Long ago people, working on the road only got eight pence a day and they thought that a lot. The name of the man who told me this is Tomas Jordan. He said his father told him
