    When the swallows fly low it is a sign of rain. If there is a fog in the hollow at night it means a fine day to follow. If the sky looks red it is a sign of wind.
    If you see cattle going to shelter it is a sign of a storm. Sometimes the floor looks damp. When you see this it is a sign of rain. When the cat sits with her back to the fire it forecasts bad weather.
    When the sun is very red going down it is a sign of frost and fine weather
