    6 Farewell to dear old Belvin shall I ever see it more,
    Although I'm bound for a better land my heart is sad and sore.
    It's often in my dreams that I can see you still,
    Where I spent the pleasant evenings at the foot of Carney Hill.
    7 Farewell to my companions my friends so kind and true,
    My parents and my comrades all to them I'll bid a due.
    It's night and day I'll always pray that soon again I'll see,
    That fair land where I was born in the Parish of Killaghtee.

    Among Erin's lovely valleys,
    This is the one for me.
    2 And if I was a native,
    I would be well inclined.
    To live amongst those tenants,
    Who were so very kind.
    3 Sweet place of my adoption,
    How dear thou art to me.
    No cruel hand of tyranny,
    Can ever come near thee.
