    JULIANSTOWN
Napper Tandy was a Drogheda man. In Nov. 1791 Toen or Tan? formed society of United Irishmen. Tandy was 1st Secretary, grave in Julianstwon Church-yard almost unknown
In a railed in space in Churchyard may be seen a large stone erected by NAPPER TANDY to the memory of his family. After many adventures he died in a foreign land - HIs body was landed at night at ANNAGASSAN & coffin brought to Julianstown. 1792. £50 was offered for his arrest warrant signed by his own two neighbours - Foster of Collon & Conygham of Slane. Arrested in Chancery Lane Dublin - asked to go into room for his hat locked door, escaped by window - hunted & had to leave. An Irish emigrant afterwards landed in U.S.A & wrote home "I met with Napper Tandy."
