  1. The Wood
    Few can see The Wood or Plantation from the school. It is between Balkill and the Castle Wood on rocky and hilly ground, south west of the school.
    It is about 200 yards long but not very wide. Some people call it Paddy Priests wood.
    They say a man of that name once live in a little hut near it but there is no sign of his home there now.
