  1. Cures.
    A cure for sore eyes is to get buachaill an tighe from the gable-end of the house and to rub the juice of it under the eyes. Another cure for sore eyes is to get double refined sugar and to melt it in a cup and to rub it under the eyes with a silk cloth.
    If you put a fox's tongue over a thorn it would draw it out.
    A skin of an elder tree boiled in milk is a cure for yellow jaundice.
    If you went out before a man with a white horse and asked a cure for him. cough and if he only said a drink of water it would cure.
    It is said that the seventh sow without any daughter between has a cure for biles.
