I am an exiled Irish man ¶ Far away from home

    I
I am an exiled Irish man
    Far far away from home
    Compelled by English tyranny
    Neath foreign skies to roam
    Though neath Columbias glorious stars
    Ive taken my abode
    My heart flies back with
    longing love
    To dear old Galway road
    II
Though humble was the cottage roof
    Beneath which I was born
    And though no costly luxuries
    Our table did adorn
    The fire of hospitality
    Upon the hearthstone glowed
And we never turned the poor away in dear old Galway
    Road.
