    Tuesday for wealth

    Thursday for losses.
    Friday for crosses.
    Saturday no good at all.
    Marry in blue and your love will be true.
    Marry in green not fit to be seen.
    Marry in yellow ashamed of the fellow.
    Marry in grey and you will sail far away.
    Marry in brown and you will wish yourself back
    June is said to be a lucky month to get married. There are no marriages celebrated during lent or advent.
    Shrove Tuesday is the last day before lent and a great many people get married on that day. Long ago the bride used to be brought home on horse back from the church. When the
