There was a man in Kylemore years ago.

    (continued from previous page)
Many years ago there was a man hunting and his dog rose a hare near a fort. The man went into the fort to watch the dog following the hare. A voice called out and said and said "Depart from over the door."
Another person saw light around the same place on another occasion. People said that Danes lived under the ground. Once a child was walking on the same fort. She had a dog with her. The dog began tearing up old leaves and when the child went over she got a necklace that shone like red gold.
