    Larry Durkan owned a small farm convenient to a beauty spot Saddle - Hill about three miles from Cluainin Ui Ruairc. Larry was a very industrious fellow but he never missed a fair or market in Cluainin.
    It happened that Larry was coming home from the 8th of May after dusk and he took a nearway through Shreeney Grove. The night was fine with good moon light and Larry sat down to take a smoke and to take a sup out of a half pint which he carried home from the town.
    As he sat smoking his pipe and admiring the seen around him. He heard a beautiful loud voice singing a lovely melody to the air of the "Bucks of Killargue". Larry crept along very quickly to the spot where
