    The houses were more numerous formally in my district and many are in ruins now. Many people emigrated to America from my district.
    The land is hilly and bad and parts of it are boggy. There are several small streams and woods and one lake, Lough Belhavel. This lake got its name from a French lady (who lived) named Belhovel who lived there in a castle overlooking the lake. All traces of the castle have now disappeared, but some of the stones have been built in a house which stands where the
