I once had a sixpence with a black spot on it.

    (continued from previous page)
One day I looked in my pocket to see had I still my sixpence but I could not get it. I turned my pocket inside out but could not find the sixpence. There was no hole in the pocket through which it could have fallen nor no place where it could be concealed so I gave it up for lost but next day I put my hand into my pocket, and the sixpence dropped into my hand.
