    This luckless man and brought him food,
    which she told him to partake
    for that he seemed fatigued and weak
    and he who thrusted most for blood, was Isac Clements there he stood
    and with a most appalling shout,
    unto the helpless man cried out
    "Now make good use of that repast,
    For truly it will be your last
    When O'Hara heard this he replied
    "I'll eat no more as I'm to die."
    Then Isac raised him to his feet
    and led him out beyond the street
    and there and on he took his stand
    and held his captain by the hand.
    When O'Hara did spy the yeoman's peece
    brought to his eyes. He with a pluck
    brought Isac round who met the ball
    and hit the ground. The place on which O'Hara stood
    had been surrounded by a wood.
    And by the protections of the bows
    he got unharmed from his foes
    He stirred the gate
    he ne'er fell o'er till he was safe in Ballinamore
    Where there he lived and oft to tell
